Robert Morley once said, “To fall in love with yourself is the first secret to happiness.”

It is incredibly important to practice self love. The voice in your head controls so much. Your happiness can be improved immensely when you start treating yourself the way you deserve.

You may feel guilty for practicing self love. You may feel as though it is selfish. It’s 100% okay to be selfish at times. When you have self love, you will notice that your overall demeanor is much more positive. This will radiate from you and it will affect others positively. So always remember that self love is not a form of selfishness.

How can we practice self love?

Make YOU Time

Many of us live incredibly busy lives with tight schedules. Take some time for yourself. This can be an hour to read a good book or five minutes to enjoy a cup of coffee. It can even be sitting in silence and relaxing really quick. Always be sure to take even just a few moments a day where you can relax and take a deep breath. You deserve a short break.

Positive Self Talk

It is so important to always be aware of how you are talking to yourself. We are the voice we hear the most, inside our head. Remember your self worth and always reflect in the way you speak to yourself.

Treat Yourself!

Sometimes it’s hard to justify buying that new top or eating that extra cookie. Just do it.

Take A Deep Breath

When you’re having a bad day, just breathe. You WILL get through it. We have already overcome every single thing that we thought we may not get through.
